REGIONAL PLANNER / GIS TECH

The Purchase Area Development District (PADD) is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Regional Planner / Geographic Information Systems Tech.  This position is primarily assisting local governments and communities in management of local and regional infrastructure and community development projects, as well as evaluation of community needs. 

Skills required include excellent verbal and written communication, ability to work well with diverse populations, initiative and self-direction, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, experience in Microsoft Office applications, some experience or a willingness to learn ESRI’s ArcGIS software suite and Trimble GPS equipment. 

Applicant must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or higher in Planning, Public Administration, Geography, Geographic Information Systems or a related field.  Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

DIRECTOR FOR AREA AGENCY ON AGING & INDEPENDENT LIVING

Multi-jurisdictional, planning and development agency located in west Kentucky is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to provide direct supervision and coordination of the Purchase Area Development District’s Area Agency on Aging and Independent Living Department.

Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree (Master’s preferred) in Social Services, Social Work, or Gerontology or a Business Degree with emphasis in Health Care Management or related field plus eight to ten (8-10) years of relevant experience.

This position must function both in an administrative and programmatic capacity to ensure that all departmental work tasks are completed in conformation with all related program guidelines and regulations.  Must be able to handle multiple projects, work effectively with staff, public officials and general public on a regular basis.

Travel to Frankfort, KY and occasional out-of-state training are necessary. Salary commensurate with degree and experience.

The Career Coach is responsible for case management, eligibility determination, and initiation of individual training requests.  A bachelor’s degree is required for this grant funded position.

Responsibilities will include greeting and assisting customers, data management, preparing various reports, and performing various tasks within the department for overall smooth operation of the office.

Skills needed include excellent verbal and written communications, self-direction, efficiency, ability to relate to customers and other professionals.  Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.  A high school diploma is required, associate degree preferred. KENTUCKY HOMECARE CASE MANAGER

The Purchase Area Development District is seeking an individual to work with senior adults as a Case Manager in the Kentucky Homecare Program.  The Homecare Case Manager is responsible for assessment/reassessment and on-going case management functions for older individuals living within the eight counties of the Purchase District.  

The ideal candidate will
1. Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Health or Human Services with
a) One year experience in health or human services or
b) educational or experiential equivalent in the field of aging or physical disabilities,
2. Be a currently licensed RN who has at least two years of experience as a professional nurse in the field of aging or physical disabilities or
3. Have a Master’s degree which serves as a substitute for the experience required above.

Responsibilities include assessing consumers for eligibility, contacting consumers monthly by phone or in person, providing information and referral to consumers regarding other services, working cooperatively with partner agencies, adhering to all state regulations guidelines and policy and procedure requirements of the program, and completing all necessary paperwork and electronic data entry required, etc.  

Skills needed include excellent verbal and written communication, self-direction and excellent organizational skills, efficiency and attention to detail, and the ability to relate appropriately to consumers and other professionals.  Knowledge of or ability to learn and effectively utilize program related computer software required.
